The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Daniel Pondei, faints twice while being questioned by the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission.
He fainted while he was being asked about the spending of the commission since he took over.
Yesterday, 19th of July, 2020, The Niger Delta Defense Commission wrote on Twitter that:
“It’s false to say #NDDC mismanaged N81.5 billion between Jan & July 2020. Truth is that
sum was spent
by two Interim Management Committees of
the NDDC between October 29,
2019 and May 31, 2020, according to the #CentralBankofNigeria.”
Defending a breakdown by TVC, NDDC wrote this on Twitter: “This is totally false. The 10 items listed don’t add up to N81.5b, the amount spent by 2 Interim Management Committees of the NDDC between October 2019 and May 2020”.
During the live broadcast, the Acting MD of NDDC disclosed that: “he spent N1.32B for COVID palliatives, N6.1B for ClearPoint company to ask people to locate NDDC projects around, N536M to do “SAFE LIVE CAMPAIGN” in Niger Delta area”.
